Hurricane Harvey Claims

In just 56 hours, Harvey grew from a tropical depression over the Gulf of Mexico into a Category 4 hurricane.

Hurricane Harvey made landfall on the evening of Aug. 25 near Rockport, TX with sustained winds recorded at 130 mph. Harvey’s strong winds and storm surge caused widespread damage throughout a number of towns along the Texas Coastal Bend, including Rockport, Copano Village, Lamar, Taft, and Aransas Pass. Harvey’s slow movement from Aug. 26-30 produced record rainfall and catastrophic flooding throughout Southeast Texas.

We’ll fight to recover the maximum compensation owed to you under the terms of your policy: 877-803-2897

Deadline for Filing a Flood Damage Lawsuit:

Depending upon the language of your flood policy, in most instances you have just one year from the date of your insurance company’s settlement offer or denial letter to file a lawsuit.

Deadline for Filing Property Damage Lawsuit (ie: wind):

Depending upon the language of your homeowners or commercial insurance policy, in most instances you have just two years from the date of your insurance company’s settlement offer or denial letter to file a lawsuit.

Was your home or business damaged by Hurricane Harvey winds or storm surge?

After a hurricane like Harvey, the damage to your home or business property can be devastating. Adding insult to injury, many policyholders often find that insurance companies use a variety of tactics to delay, deny or make unacceptably low offers for valid claims. McDonald Law Firm is experienced in helping victims of natural disasters recover the maximum compensation allowed under the terms of their homeowner’s or commercial insurance policy.

Do you have Harvey flood damage? It’s covered under a separate policy.

Flood damage is typically covered by a separate insurance policy and is not included in standard homeowner’s or commercial insurance policies. If your home or business sustained flood damage from Hurricane Harvey, you must have purchased flood insurance through the National Insurance Program (NFIP) to file a flood damage claim.

Was your Hurricane Harvey damage settlement offer too low or your claim denied outright?

It costs you nothing to find out if you have a case. Call for a free claim review: 877-803-2897.

We know how to stand up to big insurance companies with deep pockets. As part of our claim review process, we’ll…

  • Review the language of your insurance policy
  • Assess the damage to your home or business
  • Evaluate the reason for your insurance company’s decision

After a thorough investigation, if we determine that you have a valid claim, we’ll give your insurance carrier the opportunity to resolve the situation by requesting a fair settlement offer. Many times, the insurance company is more likely to respond to a lawyer, rather than to you alone. Generally speaking, if we cannot reach a fair resolution with your carrier, we will move forward with trial. Regardless, we’ll fight to recover the maximum compensation available to you under the terms of your insurance policy.

Wondering how much it will cost to hire an attorney?

Securing our services will not cost you anything out of pocket. We work on contingency, which means you never owe our firm any legal fees unless we successfully resolve your case through settlement or a trial.

Real people. Proven results.

“very helpful”

I just wanted to thank you and your firm for being there when I needed you to be and for helping me out during one of the most difficult times of my life. Without your help I would have been at the mercy of FEMA, and we all know what that means. You have been very helpful, and everyone that I have spoken with at your firm was always courteous.

“very happy right now”

I just wanted to express my gratitude for all your efforts. I was getting nowhere fast trying to accomplish this on my own so I gave you a shot. You all were very methodical and kept me in the loop every step of the way. Would I have liked the process to be quicker? Yes, but I am sure you would also. In the end, I got more than I expected going in so I am very happy right now.

We get it. You just want to get back to normal.

We know first-hand the kind of devastation caused by a natural disaster.

In 2000, our law firm was badly damaged by a powerful tornado that ripped through downtown Fort Worth. Not only did it uproot our business, but it disrupted lives. Since that time, we’ve worked hard for countless other storm victims. We understand the need to get back on your feet and into your home and business. Most recently, we represented victims of Hurricane Sandy, one of the costliest hurricanes in US history.
