McDonald Law Firm Reviewing Claims for Roundup® Lawsuits
McDonald Law Firm is evaluating claims from individuals who may have developed non-Hodgkin lymphoma, or another form of cancer, following exposure to Roundup® or other glyphosate weed killer.
In March of 2015, the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), which is the specialized cancer agency of the World Health Organization, found that there is sufficient evidence to classify the herbicide glyphosate, the primary ingredient in Roundup®, as “probably carcinogenic to humans.”
Monsanto is currently facing lawsuits from plaintiffs who claim that the agricultural giant knew that glyphosate could be carcinogenic, but hid the risks from consumers for years as sales of Roundup® skyrocketed.
Despite opposition from Monsanto, lawsuits alleging that Roundup® caused non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma and that Monsanto failed to warn consumers and regulators about the alleged risks have been centralized by the U.S. Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation (JPML) in California’s Northern District under U.S. District Judge Vince Chhabria.
The JPML’s Transfer Order from October included, “On the basis of the papers filed and hearing session held, we find that these actions involve common questions of fact, and that centralization in the Northern District of California will serve the convenience of the parties and witnesses and promote the just and efficient conduct of this litigation.”
McDonald Law Firm has decades of experience representing victims who have suffered as a result of dangerous and defective products, including hip implants, transvaginal mesh, silicone breast implants, Fen/phen, Baycol and Vioxx.
